Inspection of rig for Dansk Salt

As part of the development of the Hvornum salt dome, the operator of the brine field required an additional three salt production wells to be constructed. WellPerform tendered for a suitable drilling rig and upon finalization of the rig contract, the rig was inspected, assessed and approved in accordance with our internal Rig Intake Procedures and in compliance with Danish regulation.

The contracted rig delivered by a German contractor was inspected during operations in by an audit team from WellPerform and our client. Additionally, and audit was also conducted at the rig contractors head office to review their Management System.

The main focus of the inspection and audit was to confirm that the rig operation, safety systems, management systems, training records, etc. was thoroughly inspected and reviewed to assure the rig contractor delivered a rig, equipment and crew that will comply with Danish regulations, Dansk Salt / Nobian and WellPerform standards and provide a safe work site and environment. Additionally, to identify areas with possible deficiencies where the rig contractor should focus before bringing the rig to Denmark
