WellPerform Geothermal Presentation at SPE Young Professionals Forum

GREEN is the new BLACK

On the 9^th of January 2018, WellPerform presented to a very engaged SPE Young Professionals forum at Nørrebro Bryghus in Copenhagen.

The presentation “GREEN is the new BLACK” provided a general overview of geothermal energy, the history and current status of geothermal in Denmark, as well as a brief technical introduction to the planning and execution of the recently finalised Thisted-5 geothermal injection well in Northern Denmark.

The presentation furthermore aimed towards showing the similarities between the petroleum industry and the geothermal industry, and the possibilities for petroleum professionals that are interested in switching to a “greener” career.

A lot of engagement from the audience resulted in a very interactive session and led to some interesting discussions around the future of geothermal, both in Denmark and globally.
